This is the online gallery and portfolio of Charles McLean Redding, in his multitude of creative pursuits.

Charles is a multi-talented creative artist living and working in Colorado Springs. His artistic fields and mediums are numerous, but his crafts all share his love of implicit storytelling and his embrace of experimental, hand-crafted, and messy techniques.

From distressed Wasteland props, toys, and costumes, to custom foam-crafts including LARP weapons, cosplay armor, and foam combat sports equipment, to novellas and short stories, ink & watercolor arts, papier mache sculpture, wood-carving, steam-punk fabrication, game and sound design, and more, Charles is not only an eclectic artist, but an experienced theatrical designer, director, and props artisan.

Charles’ workshop, The Fire Thieves Studio, is a physical makerspace in Colorado Springs where many of his works are created and displayed. It also features the photographic gallery of Ciel Redding, her crochet-crafts, occasional meetings of the Feisty Grannies Knitting Circle, and a substantial collection of props and second-hand costumes.
