Nothing says so much about a warrior as their weapon. A weapon can be used to intimidate, to impress, to deceive… a warrior’s weapon speaks volumes before it is ever even drawn for combat. My aim in creating a foam LARP weapon is to help a player tell their character’s story. And what’s more, to be safe and comfortable for all the players involved.
Each Boffer, or LARP Weapon is hand-made. They can be purchased when available, or custom ordered. I have a collection of patterns to choose from, but can always make new ones and customs as needed. I also make organic weapons such as natural/found wood clubs, or bones.
My main construction method is suitable to Alliance, Refuge, and Nero styled LARPs, but I can also make weapons for Hearthlight, AMTGard, Dagorhir, Belegarth, and even Jugger Pompfen as needed.
My Construction Philosophies:
- Kitespar, Graphite Sports Cores, which are exceedingly light and durable, up to 65″.
- Durable EVA Foam cut and sculpted by hand.
- Painted with Plastidip and Acrylics, then sealed for durability.
- Thrusting tips of foam rubber or marine foam to give some extra friendliness, even for plastidip weapons.
- Round or box grips with enough padding to be comfortable in the hand, but also solid enough to support fast accurate attacks.
- Coreless Throwing Weapons and Crossbows (Stringless)
- Shaped PVC Core Bows (Stringless) and Threaded Breakdown Bows for easier travel.
- Durable Frost King Omniblades with ripstop nylon covers for high performance combat.

Custom Pricing: Most weapons fall between $100 and $200 dollars. Throwing weapons average around $15 or $25 each depending on complexity. Extra resource/time/skill intensive weapons may get up to $250 or $300. Each weapon is handmade, with none of the foam precut, laser-cut, or machined, so process are comparable to more precisely manufactured weapons, but each weapon is unique. Once we have gone back and forth and nailed down the specifics of your weapon, I’ll be able to give you a specific price.
